I like how you stayed true to the school logo by using a bird and a Y but i wish you would have spiced things up. IN your sketched you have the initials group together in some fun ways I wish that one of the four would have been one of those so that there was more variation.
I like the sketches you thought up that include a variation on the letter Y, and I think it would be a smart choice to integrate the letter and the eagle like you did in most of your sketches. I do like the watercolor look of your brush, but I think it would be nice to see the image and text mesh better.
I like what you've done with the logo. Out of all of them i think the one with the eagle head over the "Y" looks the most logo-like, however i would really like to see what you could come up with if you worked the one you have right under your final choice a little more. I love the abstraction you've put into it, and hope to see more!
