revised version of self portrait

I agree, knocking down the intensity and hue of the flowers along the left side really made a difference....

  1. I like that you toned down the left side. You also placed different colors in the center on the white flowers, this really helps pull all the flowers together.

  2. i love this and i loved the first one you had. this is better now that the leftside is more on sync with the right side. i was looking at these with my boyfriend and when we got to yours he said "wow, someone in your class did that?? its so good!" i just thought you would like that! go you!

  3. The darker flowers and fish look great. It helps make the main piece of the self portrait, you, stand out more.

  4. I believe the destaurated hues gives a better feeling of consistency with your face in this piece. I still think a slight adjustment to the composition may make some elements work just a bit stronger but overall I think this was a much stronger edit.

  5. Looks good! I think it would still be cool to see the left side muddled a little more, but the toning down you did helps a lot! I think maybe if you took out the seaweed or made it a little less crisp, that it would help to improve the image by drawing less attention. Righteous work!

  6. This looks great! Good job on the intensity change. The piece looks conclusive and unified now. I do wish the left side had a few of those green dots found on the background of the right side.
